Who we are
We are a state-funded, public enrichment program located in Pueblo West, Colorado. Our hope is to inspire homeschool students (K-6th grade) to step into the colorful world of creativity and artistic expression by turning everyday ideas into extraordinary art expressed through 2-D, 3-D, and physical expression. With our enthusiasm, knowledge, knack for playful exploration, your children will discover a whole new dimension in visual and performing arts!

Anneliese Carlson
Director/Art TeacherAnnie Carlson is an arts educator, choreographer, and community builder who believes creativity is one of the most powerful ways kids learn about themselves and the world around them. With a background in dance, public health, and youth development, Annie loves creating spaces where young people can move, imagine, create, and build confidence.
She is the Ballet Director at Second Street Dance Company and has spent years teaching dance, choreography, and creative expression to students of all ages. Annie is passionate about blending movement, storytelling, visual arts, and mindfulness to help children explore their creativity while developing discipline, curiosity, and joy in learning.
Through Stage & Story, Annie hopes to give homeschool students a place to move their bodies, tell stories, make art, and build friendships, all while discovering the magic of creative expression.
When she’s not teaching or choreographing, Annie can usually be found adventuring with her two boys, dreaming up new productions, or finding ways to bring more art and imagination into her community.
Art TeacherEmma Carlson-Wolsh
Emma is a dedicated nurse, lifelong learner, and passionate artist who is excited to share her love of art with young creators. While she works professionally in healthcare, art has always been an important and meaningful part of her life.
She enjoys watercolor painting, oil painting, and sketching, and continues to grow as an artist by taking art classes and exploring new techniques. She believes that creativity is for everyone and that art is not just about making beautiful pictures, but about building confidence, practicing patience, and learning to see the world in new ways and through new perspectives.
In her classroom, students can expect a supportive and encouraging environment where they are free to experiment, express themselves, and develop foundational art skills. She is especially passionate about helping children discover their unique artistic voice while having fun along the way and believes art can be used to help develop children in every aspect of their lives.
