Visual Arts

Wednesday Sample Schedule

8:30 - 9:00: Team Building Games

9:15 - 10:45: Hands on instruction in visual arts: painting, mixed media, 3-d design, etc… Tied in with Literature/Geography unit

10:45 - 11:00: Snack

11:00 - 12:30: Instruction in Dance including : ballet, hip-hop, jazz, modern, and world dance. Tied in with Literature/Geography unit

12:30 - 1:00: Lunch/Recess

1:00 -2:45 Instruction and practice in acting, improv, and theatrical storytelling. Tied in with Literature/Geography unit

2:45 - 3:30: Closing Circle and Clean Up


Performing Arts

Instruction in the performing arts includes acting, dancing, and storytelling. K-9th grade home school students will learn a variety of dances and acting techniques.

Combined with instruction in the visual arts, your student will receive a well-rounded, robust arts education.


Field Trips/Art on the go

Two - Three weeks out of each month we will be in studio learning techniques in art and dance wrapped in a heavy dose of literature, social studies, and geography. The 4th week of the month, we will take our art to the public sphere with either art based field trips or art lessons and activities on the go!
